in the midst of a frustrating and stressful week, i am smiling, because...
1) i have parents who love me and who go to great lengths to bail me out every time i have a "mini-crisis" ...
2) i have a roommate who will share cookies with me, let me use her laptop when mine crashes during the busiest week of my college career, and writes in hebrew on my foot with a sharpie to help me decide if i want to get a tattoo someday (mom and dad-- don't worry, it's not going to happen) ...
3) i have another roommate who calls me on skype from literally a foot-and-a-half away and who indulges my midnight cravings for taco bell or slushees or chocolate ...
4) i have a fourth roommate who understands me when i talk about running and who can yell my name from halfway across campus and i'll still hear her ...
5) i have two sweet doggies at home to cuddle with ...
6) i have a sister who sends me emails often just to see how i am doing, and who i can confide in even though she is nine and a half years older and in a different time zone ...
7) i have a niece who thinks that every dog is called "day-doh" ...
8) i have hilarious, inspirational professors and peers ...
9) 7/11 is open twenty-four hours ...
10) i have a roof over my head, blankets to keep me warm, clothes and shoes without holes in them, enough food and clean water every day ...
11) i have a God who loves me, provides for my every need, and gives me peace in moments otherwise filled with madness.
