i think i am only capable of blogging in lyrics or in lists... so i shall continue the trend, since it seems to work for me. i call this list my "randomly strung-together thoughts that have nearly nothing in common, other than that they are all in the same list" list.
1) chicago in january is cold.
2) not much in life is better than swedish fish or cherry-flavored starbursts.
3) i do not believe that everything happens for a reason-- but sometimes (if we let Him), God uses the bad stuff to get us to better places. (i have said this before, and it is still true in my own life-- over and over again.)
4) i find that i have a minor addiction to television on DVD. this is not a continual addiction though-- it happens in bursts, when i find a show i love and then find a season or two of it. first it was Gilmore Girls. lately, it's How I Met Your Mother.
5) i think i could eat cereal for every meal and be perfectly content.
6) i got the internship at the hospital. so at least five weeks of my summer will be filled medical jargon, trying to find my way around the huginormous pediatric wing, and learning more than i ever thought i would from the smiles of sick kids who know more about life than most anyone else does (and honestly, is there any smile more beautiful than that?) hands down, the best work i can imagine. i am continually thankful for the doors that God is opening, and continually learning how much i need to rely on Him for the emotional strength i know i'll need (not just restricted to my internship.)
7) i award the Nobel Prize of Kerri-Approval to whoever invented the nike plus ipod thing. see, my left shoe has a spot for this little sensor that has a companion that hooks into my ipod and tells me how fast i'm running, how far i'm running, how many calories i'm burning, etc. once i got past the initial startled-ness of Ms. Yet-To-Be-Named giving my updates through my earphones, i decided that this is one of the best inventions. ever.
8) "la coeur a sais raisons que la raison ne connait point." -blaise pascal.
9) i will not apologize for enjoying the latest taylor swift album. or for enjoying the first. also, i think jason mraz might be stalking my life... but that's a different story entirely.

Can I hear the story of number seven? My curiosity has been piqued.
Also, I award myself 3 points for using piqued.
